During 2020, life as we knew it was turned on its head. Puzzling, bizarre and challenging were just some of the adjectives tripping off our tongues as we strove to make sense of it.

The Pride of Place Competition is an annual event sponsored by IPB Insurance . In their own words, it is "an all-island competition that acknowledges the work that communities are doing all over the island of Ireland." You can read more about it here: https://prideofplace.ie.

Three Mountmellick partners designed an entry in the "creative place" category. Mountmellick Community Arts Centre, Mountmellick Development Association and Yarnbombing Mountmellick came together to present a consolidated illustration of the undoubted abundance of creativity in the town.
